Introducing 2021 Fellow - Thomas Feray

 
 

Thomas Feray is a highly experienced investigator with extensive expertise in the public and private sectors.

His career with the French Gendarmerie brought him to serve in specialized serious crime units including the Versailles Serious Crime Unit (Division Financial crimes) and the Cayenne Serious Crime Unit as part of the special operation “Harpie Orpaillage” (operation aimed at fighting against the illegal gold mining in French Guyana). As part of his missions, Thomas Feray lead several complex investigations, related to Labour law crimes, counterfeiting of luxury goods and to the money laundering of the proceeds of these crimes.

In the private sector, Thomas Feray was a senior investigator with the SNC-Lavalin Compliance Investigation team before joining, as an investigator, the Bombardier Internal Audit department. These two roles brought him to conduct international investigations involving the companies’ operations across numerous Business Units and industries in approximately 30 countries.

 Since August 2020, Thomas Feray took the role of Manager, Compliance Operations with Bombardier.

Holder of a Master’s degree in Business Law, with a Major in “Compliance”, Thomas Feray followed several training courses related to the conduct and management of criminal investigations, including interview techniques, Financial crimes schemes and data analysis.

Furthermore, Thomas is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
